Japanese designer Karin Nakamura designed the Slide as part of a Fritz Hansen collaboration with Central Saint Martins in London. The brief was “storage for things you treasure." Nakamura worked with the idea that small objects tend to be forgotten and lose their value in a pile among random things; as a result, the Slide offers the user the option to unveil or stow away their belongings and aims to create a stronger bond between the users and the objects by encouraging them to curate their possessions in the limited spaces available. The Slide is functional yet decorative in different settings and can be a storage unit in the living room or used separately as an iPad holder in the kitchen when reading a recipe or having an online meeting from home. Broadening the accessories collection and presenting a new take on storage combining quality, design & beauty.
