Joe Colombo's Riscio Lamp from 1967 has a light, friendly and modern expression, where the triangular shade seems to almost float of the cylindric base. Riscio is introduced in three timeless colours; dark red, white and midnight blue, that will fit in numerous settings from private homes to public spaces. The design casts a fairly strong light and comes with an integrated touch-based dimmer in the top. Colombo frequently prioritized lexible and convertible furniture and objects, intended to be used in many different ways—all to the benefit of the user. He experimented with new materials and the latest technologies and designed 'machines for living', many of which have become icons for a new way of life, and Riscio is a stunning testament to this design ethos.
