The Lumiere series of lamps is a fine example of how contemporary designers reinterpret "forms of memory" or pieces with historical and classical impact. In the history of Foscarini, Lumiere represents the symbol of an up-to-date design language brought in by independant designers who have contributed to improving the quality of the products and strengthening the brand impact. Twenty years after Lumiere, Lumiere XXL was born, a product completely redesigned in accordance with new proportions and for a specific use.

Designer Rodolfo Dordoni is an architect whose work ranges from art direction, furnishing, and lamp design to exhibitions, renovations, show room, and point of sale set-ups. Some of the most famous objects in Italian design carry his signature.
