Named after the epic poems of ancient times, GamFratesi's Epic Table is a sculptural piece of furniture inspired by Greek columns and Roman architecture. The Epic Table has a strong, sculptural form comprising two simple shapes, a hexagon and a circle, which references classical architecture and yet creates a new expression. The table can stand alone as a sculptural form, or be combined in dynamic clusters. In steel, this design takes on an even stronger, more pronounced presence, while adopted a more industrial, contemporary edge.The steel plates have been galvanized, lacquered, and then treated with a series of hand-finishing processes to create a unique surface expression for each table. Emphasizing the patination of steel, the depth of color and tactility makes each piece unique.
