Hans J. Wegner’s table with a collapsible base is a round, reversible oak-edged tray with a smoked oak handle, and is available with black and white laminate surfaces. As something entirely new, Carl Hansen & Son has produced a new version of the reversible tray with oak and smoked oak surfaces. The CH417 tray table was originally formed as part of a series of armchairs and sofas made from bent tubes, but as it turned out, it was this functional low side table with a slender steel base that proved the most enduring.
