Testing the boundaries of adjustable lighting, Ayno is a lamp that has been radically reduced to the essentials while still prioritizing visual appeal. Ayno meets all requirements of design, technology and sustainability, and was nominated for the 2021 German Sustainability Award Design. The defining feature of the Ayno light is a fiberglass rod, which is stretched to the bow by the signature luminaire cable. The inherent tension of the rod allows the lamp to function without any joints—by sliding the two adjustment rings at top and bottom, the fiberglass rod is bent into the desired position and the light is directed wherever illumination is needed.
