The Aida Lamp is a beautiful and sculptural lamp that creates a soft indirect light, in addition to being one of Angelo Mangiarotti's most characteristic lighting designs. There is a tension in the design that makes for an interplay between the two large pieces, which are connected only by a slim stem. Angelo Mangiarotti continuously references structures found in his architecture that he is so famous for – slim, elegant pillars that support large and heavy ceilings in an almost impossible lift. This lack of balance defines a uniquely modern and geometric lighting design, making the Aida Lamp a perfect statement piece.
